Manufacture of Blending Plant and Installation of Cluster Line at Confectionery Manufacturer in West Yorkshire.
New Premises
Hilton Process Solutions have recently completed the manufacturing and installation of a chocolate handling system complete with melting vessels and associated jacketed pipework. The vessels were surrounded by a bespoke stainless steel fabricated platform with 2 pallet loading “up & over” safety gates.
The HPS manufactured items were part of a joint supply of equipment with Sollich UK who contributed to supplying 2 blending vessels, 2 holding vessels, a temperer unit, a cluster former and a cooling tunnel.
The installation was part of a complete factory relocation from the clients existing site approximately 2 miles away and was undertaken concurrently with the new building upgrade The installation area was partitioned off with hygienic walling and then the HPS and Sollich equipment installed under the CDM site regulations.
Once the equipment was installed, the area was converted to a hygienic production area, whilst outside the area remaining a construction site.
Design & Build Off-site
The project was designed in house from layout drawings supplied by the client.
Once agreed the blending vessels and platform were manufactured, followed by the receipt of the Sollich vessels and Temperer from Germany. These items were offloaded and assembled into the proposed layout at Hilton Process Solutions premises.
Finally the jacketed pipe work was then manufactured off site at HPS premises. The client then viewed and approved the complete installation prior to dismantling, sanitising and delivering to site for installation.
Final Assembly
The final part of the jigsaw was to offload the Sollich equipment namely the cluster former, cooling conveyor sections, elevator conveyor and chiller unit. Once the items were sited the relevant process, service, chilled water and pneumatic pipe work was completed. Field wiring was also fitted by HPS prior to the Sollich engineer commissioning the complete system.
