Joint project with major UK process valve supplier assists the client to achieve success.
The summer months this year brought Hilton Process Solutions a new direction. The client, a leading biscuit manufacturer based in the North West contacted us regarding certain quality issues they were experiencing with an on-going project. The current phase was close to completion with a further phase of the design and manufacture of another three flour hoppers and supporting frameworks. After assessing the work required and seeking expertise in the supply of the correct peripheral equipment from FPE Global, HPS were awarded the next phase of the project.
Venturing into a new market.
The powder handling industry has been difficult to break into in the past, however the opportunity HPS have been given to form a working partnership with one of the UK’s leading suppliers of pneumatic conveying systems has given us a great insight and a platform from which to base future projects.
Through the roof.
The installation of the vessels was coordinated and organized by HPS. The installation team concluded it was feasible for the units to be loaded and lifted in the building as a complete assembly.
The vessels were loaded in Elland onto a suitable Hi-ab vehicle and delivered to the customer’s premises accordingly, prior to being lifted in through the client’s roof with a 40 ton City Crane and positioned them in the upper mixing room floor.
The Health and Safety requirements pertaining to the installation and the specific lift, together with the berthing plan was all submitted by HPS for client approval prior to the work being undertaken. The installation was undertaken during weekend shutdown periods with the client rotating the mixing capabilities from the other hoppers to accommodate the 2 lines that were running.
Our customer has commended the quality of the workmanship and support received from HPS together with the quality, skills and organization of the installation team.
